Elder Andy J. U. Akpan is a professional banker with extensive experience in branch and corporate banking. He is a proven administrator and team player with excellent time management, interpersonal, and communication skills, ready to take on new challenges for career advancement through hard work. He holds an M.Sc in Banking and Finance from UNIBEN and a B.Sc in Banking and Finance from OOU, Ago-Iwoye. He is an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN) and the Institute of Cost Management, Nigeria (ACIM), and a member of the CBN MICR Technical Implementation and Monitoring Committee.

Elder Akpan’s work experience includes various roles at Savannah Bank PLC from 1982 to 2001. He started in branch operations (1982-1992), moved to branch operation implementation in the computer department (1992-1994), and then to branch coordination, O & M, and central cash management (1994-1995). From 1995 to 2001, he was involved in banking operations, including branch coordination, policy formulation, implementation, monitoring, enforcement, and compliance liaison on money laundering with CBN/NDLEA.

He has completed several courses and training programs, including effective implementation of money laundering enforcement, business creativity and time management, business communication and interpersonal skills, basic accountancy and management application, credit analysis management, organisations and methods introduction to basic banking, and credit management and cash control. In his free time, Elder Akpan enjoys reading, writing, and sports.
