Alh Atiku a 1980 Bsc (Accounting) and 1988 holder of Master of Science (Msc)  degree from the prestigious Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria was born on February 17, 1954. An humble accomplished Banker and mentor to many bankers today had worked with Katsina Steel Rolling Company Ltd as an Accountant, Bells Holdings Ltd, a private consulting establishment, as Company Secretary and Head of Finance and Administration before joining Savannah Bank of Nigeria Limited in July 1987 where he served the bank in various capacities (Operations/credit officer, branch manager, Executive Assistant to the Managing Director and head of Internal Audit. Alh Atiku left Savannah Bank February 1999 to Intercity Bank Plc as Head Internal Audit and rose to become the Regional Manager as an Assistant General Manager. He was key to merger of the famous nine (9) banks now Unity Bank Plc as the Head of the operations work stream and became the pioneer Divisional Head of Operations, served as Chief Inspector of the bank before resigning in July, 2009 as Deputy General Manager. He equally served as the Chairman, Board Audit Committee of Unity Bank for a period of 4 years (2010 to 2014).

Alhaji Atiku is currently the Burser of Prime University, Abuja after exiting the banking sector meritoriously. Prior to this, Capital Science Academy contracted him in September 2010 as Director of Finance and Procurement and member of the Senior Management Team. At the expiration of the contract in 2017, International Centre for Islamic Culture and Education (ICICE), the custodian of the popular Al-Noor Mosque, Abuja contracted him as their Director of Finance, Admin and Procurement (DFAP) in February 2018. He is still serving as the Secretary to the Board of Trustees of ICICE and the Board of Directors of ICICE Al-Noor Academy for about six (6) years. He acted for the Director General of the ICICE anytime the Director General was not on seat. He resigned from the services of ICICE voluntarily on August 31, 2023 to join the services of Prime University, Abuja as the pioneer Bursar of the university.

His passion for accountability that is not restricted to financial matters is exemplary. He is a dedicated family man and happily married with children.
